Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative are soon going to be launched for PS Vita in North America and Europe, and today we’re able to show you what they look like on Sony’s portable.
Below you can see the first ten minutes of Muv-Luv Extra, Muv-Luv Unlimited (which together form the first Muv-Luv release), and Muv-Luv Alternative.
Keep in mind that the beginning of each game includes relevant spoilers for the one before, so if you want to go in blind, I advise to watch only the first video and skip the other two.
Unfortunately, recording direct-feed footage from PS Vita proved beyond our equipment, so you’ll have to be content with off-screen video from my old dear PS Vita 1000. In order to help provide a better look at what the games look like, we also included a small gallery of direct-feed screenshots for each title.
Keep in mind that you’ll see the footage slowing down when the screen turns black. That’s due to the camera struggling to focus. The game themselves run perfectly smoothly.
If you’re unfamiliar with the games, the Muv-Luv saga is considered one of the best visual novel franchises of all times, as you can read for yourself in our recent review of the PC version. If you want to read more about the franchise itself, you can also enjoy my recent interview with creator Koki Yoshimune.
You can also pre-order both Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative on Amazon. Both games will launch for PS Vita in North America on June 12th, while European fans will be able to enjoy them a bit earlier, on June 8th.
