Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka Infinite Combate, the Danmachi action RPG for PS4, Vita, receives a new release estimate in Japan.
5pb announced today that its Danmachi action RPG, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Infinite Combate, will release in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Vita on Spring 2019. The announcement was made via the game’s official website.
Danmachi Infinite Combate was first announced back in June 2017. It was revealed to be for PS4 and Vita on September 2017, and a first trailer and gameplay were shown at Tokyo Game Show 2017. At that point, the game was scheduled for a Spring 2018 release. It was then delayed to Summer 2018, “2019”, and now Spring 2019.
While not as much as Sword Art Online, Danmachi is one of the most popular light novels turned anime, both in and outside Japan. The original light novel is written by Fujino Oumori, with character designs and illustrations by Suzuhito Yasuda. It’s also popular thanks to Hestia and her “boob string”, the blue ribbon around her chest, becoming an internet meme in Japan when the first anime adaptation aired in 2015. A second anime season of Danmachi is coming, and a movie will also hit Japanese theaters on February 15, 2019.
Moreover, new information on Infinite Combate‘s opening song was revealed. The song is titled “Treasure” and sung by Yuka Iguchi. The lyrics are by Satomi, and it was composed by Ryousuke Shigenaga. Yuka Iguchi voices Chigusa Hitachi in the anime. She also sang the opening theme of the anime’s first season and the opening theme of the Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Sword Oratoria spin-off. Yuka Iguchi’s single containing “Treasure” will release on February 13, 2019.
More and more light novel turned anime turned games are getting localized nowadays, like Date A Live Rio Reincarnation, so seeing Danmachi‘s popularity, Infinite Combate could come over too.
