Battle for Atlas Video Review

Ubisoft’s first (and late) attempt at the toys-to-life genre is on store shelves right now. Our written review is up now and you can check that out if you click this link or you can check out our video review with yours truly narrating it.

We played the Nintendo Switch version which includes exclusive content with Fox McCloud and the Star Fox fleet. While the Starlink Initiative is attempting to save Atlas from impending doom from the bad alien Grax, Fox and his crew are trying to find one of Star Fox‘s most well known bad boys, Wolf O’Donnell (a.k.a. Star Wolf). You’ll also attach an Arwing piloted by Fox to your controller and freely roam the galaxy as everyone’s favorite fox boy, so that’s pretty cool.

Regardless of what platform you’re playing on, you’ll need to pick up the Starter Edition of the game. If you plan on playing Starlink: Battle for Atlas on PS4 or Xbox One, you can expect to get a copy of the game, the controller mount, a poster, the Zenith starship, the Mason Rana pilot figure and the shredder, flamethrower, and frost barrage weapons.

If it’s the Switch version you’re looking for, you’ll receive almost everything the PS4 and Xbox One versions have to offer. Where it differs is its ship. Instead of the Zenith starship — which you’ll receive a digital version of — you get an exclusive Arwing ship and Fox McCloud pilot.

If you absolutely end up loving the game, there are more starships, weapons, and pilots for you to use if Mason Rana or Fox just aren’t doing it for you anymore.

If you want to see some extended gameplay of Starlink: Battle for Atlas, you can check the first full act where you’ll get an idea of what exactly is happening in the story and a closer look at Fox McCloud and the Arwing.
