Anthem’s latest gameplay footage forgoes showing off a new mission and instead places emphasis on wandering about the game’s world.
There’s been a lot of new gameplay footage for BioWare’s Anthem over the past few days and weeks, and that trend has continued this afternoon.
In a new video posted by IGN, we get a glimpse of over 8-minutes of new gameplay from BioWare’s upcoming shared-world shooter. Rather than showing off another one of the game’s many missions though, this footage opts to highlight what Anthem will offer as you roam about its world. Much of Anthem’s moment-to-moment gameplay will likely play out in ways that feature these encounters, bosses, and loot that we see here.
Honestly, it’s these aspects of Anthem that actually excite me about the game more than anything. While I’m sure there will be some fun missions and such throughout, wandering about this world and taking on various enemies looks both fun and cathartic to me. Maybe I’m alone on that front, but this new gameplay seems enjoyable. Let me know what you think about it in the comments.
